I love Christmas!

I just love this time of the year, and I love thinking about past Christmases, so I thought I would do this little exercise (I really liked reading everyone else's)

KNOW YOUR FRIENDS CHRISTMAS STYLE....

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper for the kids (they like to unwrap) and whatever is easiest for grownups (which means gift bags) I used to try to wrap all my presents alike under the tree, but I lost that urge in the hustle and bustle

2. Real or artificial tree? Artificial, real ones are cool but way too messy for me

3. When do you put up the tree? Usually right before Thanksgiving (that's when the grand kids can help with it)

4. When do you take the tree down? Oh, a week or two after Christmas:)

5. Do you like eggnog? I absolutely love chocolate eggnog (don't knock it til you've tried it)

6. Favorite gift received as a child? That's tough, and yes I can remember many gifts at my ripe old age, probably the last doll I got and named her Lori Dawn

7. Do you have a nativity scene? As a matter of fact, I have the nativity scene I bought with my own money at a story in down town Yukon when I was eleven (I know, it is approaching the age of an antique)

8. Hardest person to buy for? My husband, because if he wants something he buys it for himself during the year.

9. Easiest person to buy for? My grandchildren and my daughters

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? A Chatty Kathy doll when I was a kid, not because it was a bad gift, but her string broke on Christmas day (in my day you had to pull a string to make your doll talk), we had to mail her back the next day, and for six weeks I had to watch my sister play with hers until my came back.

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail! I love getting Christmas cards and wish everyone one wrote one of those newsy letters that some people find so annoying and I love to read (that's why I write one of them every year and mail to everyone we know)

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Nestor the Long Eared Christmas Donkey and Polar Express.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Around Thanksgiving, usually Black Friday.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Only if it was really good and I already had one like it.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Turtle candy

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Colored, a Christmas tree is the only thing that can get away with being that gaudy and still be beautiful!

17. Favorite Christmas song? "Mary Did You Know" and "I'm Gettin' Nuthin' for Christmas"

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Travel and stay at home.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Of course, I even know that Rudolph's girlfriend is named Clarice.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Star

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? We start opening presents for about three days before Christmas and continue through Christmas, we have a lot of family gatherings

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? People we get so into Christmas, but don't believe in Jesus Christ.

23. Do you decorate your tree in any specific theme or color? No, the more stuff on there the better.

24. What do/did you leave for Santa? Cookies and milk.
YOUR TURN!

Katie and Annie, do you know it has been two weeks since you have posted anything? Get with the program girls!

I agree with mom, Annie and Katie need to get with it!! :)

Six weeks is a really long time for a kid to wait for something - that would not be fun at all!!

Also, just because I live in the same town as you, does not mean I don't want a Christmas card and a letter!! Where is mine??
