The Lazy, Hazy, Days of Summer.....NOT!

I believe I have occasionally mentioned (i.e. whined) about all of the things I have going on this summer. I haven't even gotten on the computer and did my usual blog "lurking" or ebay cruising. We spent last week in Owasso - having a baby shower for Baby Kain Dossett and just hanging out with family. It was great, but then we had to come home. Also, as I have mentioned before, we got NEW CARPET! Hooray! If I thought getting ready was a chore, now I have to put the house back together. I went out of town before it was completely laid - Greg stayed, like the wonderful husband he is - and joined me after the job was finished. I did give him strict instructions to leave putting the house back in order to me. He was appropriately cooperative and I have posted a couple pictures of what I came home to.

Some rooms were completely full.......
while others, completely empty. There was not one room that was in proper living order, except perhaps a couple of bathrooms. Friday night we both had to sleep in chairs because at 11pm no one felt like assembling beds. But it is okay - I love love love my new carpet - and the house will probably be arranged by Christmas. :D I'm wondering when I will allow food and drink out of the kitchen - not in the foreseeable future, I'm thinking.........
Tomorrow afternoon, my wonderful father-in-law is having heart replacement. We covet your prayers for him at this time and are confident that he is in God's care. We're just hoping we can keep him down long enough to fully recuperate. FYI - Frank is the one on the right. :)

You should have slept on your new carpet! By the way, you know you'll be vacuuming up vast amounts of carpet fuzz for awhile! I loved the picture of Greg and his dad in their matching hat! They look adorable--as I'm sure Greg always tries to be! haha

Oh and I'm glad you FINALLY got around to posting something--but you've been busy so I'll forgive you this time :)
