Land, Ho!

We're home! As of about 3 am this morning. Now for the fun stuff, unpacking. doing laundry, all those things we so look forward to after being gone a week. I decided to just post a little fun thing today, then get serious about the "Alaska Trip" when I have more time. Just a warning - I took over 300 pictures :) Not to fret, I probably won't post them all.....

We have discovered that we LOVE cruises! What a way to vacation and I recommend them to everyone. I have comprised a top ten list of what makes a good candidate for a cruise passenger.

You might love a cruise if.....

1. You love to see beautiful examples of God's handiwork in our world today. ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!!!
2. You love meeting new people from all over the world. Most of the crew is from other countries and they are always smiling and happy!
3. You enjoy a little friendly competition (golf putting, hula hooping, volleyball, singing, etc) that result in prizes.
4. You like to watch shows, such as music, magic, comedians, etc. You can also be a part of shows with dancing and karaoke if you so desire or just watch others make spectacles of themselves.
5. You like to venture into the unknown, excursions to whale watch, snorkel, kayak, fish, zip lining through the rain forest to just name a few. (And, yes, people did snorkel in the Alaskan waters and loved it!)
6. You love having someone besides yourself pick up the clutter in your state room SEVERAL times a day.
7. You do not have to clean even ONE bathroom for a solid week!
8. Your room is vacuumed EVERY DAY and not by you!
9. Your bed is immaculately made every day and an adorable little "towel" creature is left on the sheets to greet you.
10. You love food -a lot of it- every single day - prepared by someone else, served by someone else, cleaned up by someone else, and eaten by you!

Below are pictures of a few of the cute little animals that Widoodoo (our Indonesian steward - who by the way laughed out loud every time we called him by name) left to greet us every day.

Manta

After some discussion, we decided this was a lobster.
Peacock or turkey, you decide.
Puppy
Elephant

I'll be back on after I recover from post vacation chores - somehow - Widoodoo passed on the opportunity to be one of our vacation souvenirs :D

Aw! What a nice little surprise everyday! They did the same sort of thing in Mexico, not as good of variety though!
