Happy Birthday, Emily and Ella!

May is a big birthday month for our family, so after the first birthday we have to combine so everyone can celebrate together. Emily and Ella like having their birthdays together, so that helps. We went to the park for cake and ice cream and it was absolutely beautiful. Our park is getting a face lift, with lots of new things, including playground equipment. The playground toys are incredible, and as you may have noticed in Katie's post, enjoyed by kids of all ages. Unfortunately, some losers with nothing else to do have begun to vandalize some things, hopefully they will get caught and stopped. I never could understand that mentality. Oh well, to get off my soap box, we had a great time and I can't believe that my girls are one year older. Here are the birthday princesses, blowing out their candles. Emily is really more into pirates than princesses, but she was so grown up and did the princess thing with Ella.

We were so happy to have Cashion Laird (and his Poppy and Nana, of course) at the party. The kids were glad he brought his wagon! Sam (or Ralph) thinks he is so big, he had to pull instead of ride.
Ben really is enjoying his ride and not trying to escape!Mandy proves that she still has her spinning skills, even though her height put a crimp in her style.
Jason gave Max the big spin! What a good excuse to ride the toy.
Lily gets brave on these climbing disks, it helps that they don't move :D

This was an interesting slide, there are no sides on it, and of course that made Mimi nervous, but not the kids.
See, now do you understand why this slide is not my favorite toy?
Sam's expressions says it all, Goodbye Folks!

Wow! The playground looks like a blast! Wish we had some cool toys like that on ours! It is too bad that some people have nothing better to do than to mess up a nice thing. It looks you all had a great time! Happy Birthday Ella and Emily!!

Is that Crystal Beach Park? If so, wow, those are some very different toys there. We'll have to take our kids when we visit next cause it looks like everyone (even the "adults") were having a great time!!

I don't blame you for not liking that slide. I'm not too sure I like it and I've only seen it in your pics. Too scary for me!!

Looks like you all had a blast!! And those are some mighty cute princesses you have there!!

The park really got an upgrade since we've been there. I don't really care for that slide though!! You guys always seem to have such a great time when you are together.
