Brock Turned 1!

Actually, he turned 1 on the 23rd, but we didn't get to celebrate until last weekend. He was not overly impressed with his party - he really likes his mom and isn't too sure about being the center of attention. But I'm sure he will get over his "shyness" , after all he does have Whiteley blood flowing in his veins. Brock the Rock is such a precious gift from God and I'm so thankful we live close enough to share in all of these special moments!

Pa made Brock his rocking chair (it was being finished the night before we left of course). He thinks this one is his masterpiece. He has been wanting to make a two tone chair and finally, over ruled me and did it. I have to admit, it looks pretty sharp.
Brock wasn't too impressed with opening his presents. He spent most of the time looking at the cards (I'm sure this is just an indication of super intelligence) and messing with the wrapping paper while mom opened the gifts.
Max is such a good big cousin. He loves Heidi, but isn't too crazy about the drool that comes along with her.
Brock got this super cute fire engine from his Papa Genie and Nana Lisa, but I don't know how much he got to enjoy it. It was being hogged by the other children because they thought it was the coolest thing ever! Fortunately, no one discovered how to fill the water tank!

Brock liked his birthday cake, but was a little reluctant to get his hands dirty. He was happiest when daddy was helping him out with a fork. His first year rocketed by, and I know they will just continue to do so. I love you, Brocky Boy!
