Easter 2008

What a great weekend! I love holidays, but especially Easter as we remember what our Lord Jesus Christ did for us by his crucifixion on the cross for our sins and then conquering death by rising on the third day. How truly blessed we are! All of the kids color eggs together sometime before Easter. And, yes, all eight of them colored at least one egg. They have a great time and we had some amazing looking eggs. We also had an egg hunt in the basement that afternoon. I like to give the kids something special for the holiday and I learned the hard way last year not to use real eggs(I found two in June last year) Imagine, me forgetting where I put something! So this year, I hid plastic ones. We had a wonderful time.
Max was real serious about decorating his eggs.
Ella looks like she was very careful with her eggs and the dye, but really...not so much.
Sam wanted me to draw his face on an egg. Yes, his face! He thinks I am much more capable than I really am, but he thought it looked just like him:)
Lily is going to be my little artist, she put a lot of thought and time into her decorating and they really looked pretty, unlike Coop, who had put each of his eggs in so many colors that they all kind of resembled mud.

Emily also took her time decorating and I'm afraid she wants to keep these eggs forever.... that might not be such a good idea.Ryder did color one egg so he could have his picture taken, but he wasn't too impressed with the entire ordeal, on the other hand.......
this face says it all! Ben loved it (and his hands matched his eggs)! After splashing dye everywhere, his mom made him quit, she is such a party pooper.

Overall, Saturday was one busy day. The kids were worn out, as you can tell by this picture of Cooper. This is how he always falls asleep, such a precious boy! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

You are a BRAVE woman! (Or maybe it's just that you're a Mimi) to let that go on at your house with that many kids. Really, it looks like you all had a great time. GREAT Memories!
