Who Says They're Not Different!

Much to Mandy's dismay - she had to report back to work today - so Lanus and I are back in the day care business. Having raised four girls - it never ceases to amaze me when I see the difference in boys and girls. God just hard wired them differently! Most of you know I am a saver of things, all things - and having recently cleaned out all my closets (thanks to my wonderful new carpet HOORAY) I organized the kids toys that they play with here. I got rid of a lot of them but I kept the best stuffed animals. I just knew they would want to play with them. Guess what? I was right! But there was no hugging and holding of the stuffed animals. Introducing.................ANIMAL WARS! (Max's creation) Yes, there is a new game around here, bomb each other with stuffed animals.
Sam really gets the wind up going before he launches his "missile."
Even baby brother got in on the action. He is a two fisted "bomber."
If you look closely, you can see the monkey that Max just zinged at Pa. Yes, even Pa got in on the action. The boys also like to flip and flop, off and on the beds. They get a pile of pillows and go to town. Now, their parents don't care for this game, but as a Mimi - I just told them to remake the bed when they were finished. They readily agreed to this suggestion. When they had fixed the bed they were so proud of the finished product - and you guessed it- this was it. Please know that this is not usually how I make my beds. I don't think they are quite ready for the military!

Your kids (and grandkids) are so lucky to have you all so close by.

It always amazes me how grandparents let their grandkids go wild, I'm sure I'll do the same one day to get back at my own kids and give them a taste of what I had to deal with (when they get their own kids home after a visit)... I look forward to it actually. HAHAAA

I can't believe that you let them zing animals around the living room like that, something could get broken!

Boys ARE so different! But it's fun. I am laughing at the "made" bed...that's how it looks when my husband makes ours:)
Jacob does the same thing with his stuffed animals. Poor Elmo...he used to love him and now he's the bad guy and gets lots of punches & kicks.

You are not kidding about boys being different. I like the bed picture. Looks like they really tried.
