Fourth of July Fun!

It has been a busy July around this place, but that is the way we like it! We got to celebrate Independence Day a couple of times this summer and the kids thought that was pretty cool, two days of fireworks. What could be getter than that? On the actual 4th of July we were fortunate to be invited to Chad's parents for homemade ice cream and back yard celebrating.

Ryder and Ben have become great buddies. They even played on the teeter-totter with no negative side effects.

Pa and Sam are having a serious discussion, so serious that Sam hasn't even noticed he is sitting in a Sooner chair. We may convert him yet.

I told Ben he had to smile with his mom before he could go light off more fireworks.

Ryder is not the bravest of fellows, but he wasn't afraid of any fireworks, but his very favorites were still the quiet snakes.
Who needs a punk when you've got a torch?
Sally thought she could rescue a rocket from a tree. She hasn't lost her climbing skills with age!
Yes, it is July, and yes, the great grandparents were freezing. Don't be fooled, it may have been pleasantly cool, but not that cool.
Ben is quite fond of loud booms!
Brock was just happy to have his mom home from church camp.

Someday Heidi will not be so happy to dress like her mom.

The Karn family get ready to light some sparklers to top off the evening. All in all we had a great time!
